The father of the Nahari Family, from the Yemen
Moshe Ya’ish Nahari, a Hebrew teacher, was murdered in a brutal anti-Semitic attack in Yemen. His widow and their 9 orphaned children made their way to Israel. The family struggles to cope with the traumatic after-effects of the tragedy and needs personal support and help with some basic needs. The widowed mother and the children make tremendous efforts to meet the challenges of immigration, learning the new language and adjusting to a very different culture, society, and system in Israel. The mother works hard to provide a warm, stable home for her children, some of whom are still quite young. Selah stepped in to provide each child with some necessary clothing and school supplies, Selah is trying to ensure that the family does not become overwhelmed by the many challenges they face, with targeted aid and advocacy.
